milk chocolate panna cotta
Not sure if I'm supposed to write about one dish only, so I'm just gonna describe my entire experience and picked my favorite above^. Okay now for the real review: Every time we go to the Ravenous Pig we are continuously STUNNED by how amazing the food, service, and atmosphere is. Our server, Anton, made our night so fun & enjoyable! Now for the food; it was truly on another level. Starting with the Mushroom and Gruyere beignets, my boyfriend hates mushrooms but DREAMS of these beignets. The steak frites are bursting with flavor, and the burger was cooked perfectly. Lastly, my favorite bite of the night (and this was so hard to choose) was the Milk Chocolate Panna Cotta. I mean, wow. I think I could taste some sort of toffee flavor in the drizzle, and the multitude of different textures in the dessert itself! I feel like toffee is such an underrated flavor and I was so happy/surprised to have tasted it along with the milk chocolate. The roughness of the crumbles, and the softness of the mousse was just perfection. I found myself savoring every bite like I was that one critic out of Ratatouille. I do wish it was bigger (my entire party was fighting over it) so it could be easier to share, but overall this restaurant is a rare gem. Thank you for gently awakening the tastebuds within me and filling the little guys with happiness, can't wait to be back! :)
Pub Burger
The pub burger was incredible. The bun was soft with the right amount of crunch, the meat was high quality, and the toppings were perfectly chosen to make your taste buds explode. The best burger in town, by far. Loved pairing it with their fries, amazing brussel sprouts, and a beer. Highly recommend - 5 stars.
Short Rib Jerky
Who knew a scrambled egg could be so delightful?! This dish will have you dreaming of soft egg clouds that melt in your mouth with flavor. Must have it again and I can't wait!
Mongolian BBQ Octopus
I LOVED this dish. I have never had anything like it. The cauliflower puree was so smooth, the eggplant was unique, and the octopus was the best I've had. What I love about Ravenous Pig is that every time I go, I try something I never would have put together myself or find anywhere else.
Birria Grilled Cheese
The pork tacos were perfection! I'm a sucker for a good taco so half the time I go out, that's what I end up ordering. Sometimes I'm impressed, but I tend to be more disappointed than not. These tacos, though, were 5/5 ?? I also loved the whole vibe of the place, service was great, restaurant was clean. Will definitely be revisiting several more times!
Brussel Sprouts
The brussel sprouts are excellent. The honey glaze brings out great flavor and makes for a side that is a must get in my opinion.
Mahi Sandwich
We had a large party reservation for a work event and we were worried about the turn out for a last minute event. From the moment we arrived, Mathew H, Natalia R, and Robert the bartender took care of us. They checked in, got us a tent when the 10% chance of rain turned into 100%, turned on the heaters, and made sure everyone was satisfied. The drinks were great. I had the watermelon beer with tequila. Awesome drink! The mahi sandwich was fantastic and the sun dried tomatoes added a fantastic, unexpected, taste. Highly recommended. Thank you to everyone who made this evening a success for us.
Dozen Oysters
Love the presentation and accompanying condiments for the fresh oysters, especially at Happy Hour!
Chicken & Waffles
Came out really fast and fresh! The waffle was crunchy and soft and chicken compliments it so well! I would get this meal time and time again!! my boyfriend got the pork dip, and its almost a tie between the 2. its a perfect size and taste amazing!
Charcuterie & Cheese Platter
Absolutely amazing! Me and my husband come here every year for our anniversary and always love to split the cheese platter. It's always new cheeses and meats, and always so delicious! The rabbit pate was heavenly!
